Quietly crafted jewellery for everyday self-expression.
Spotlight was founded in 2023 with a simple idea: that fine-looking jewellery should not be reserved for special occasions or for people who can afford four-figure prices. We design watches, necklaces, rings and earrings that look at home in the boardroom and at brunch - and we sell them direct, without the markup that traditional retail adds along the way.
The materials we use
Most of our pieces are made from 316L stainless steel, the same surgical-grade alloy used in medical implants. It is hypoallergenic for most skin types (rare individual sensitivities can still occur, so please test for personal tolerance), highly resistant to corrosion and easy to care for. Plated pieces use a minimum of 3 microns of 18K gold over 316L; cubic zirconia stones are set by hand and inspected before despatch.
How we work
We design from a small studio in Europe. Production is handled by selected workshops we have personally visited, primarily in Guangdong, China. Quality control is performed at two stages - at the workshop and again at our fulfilment centre in Hong Kong - before items are shipped directly to you. Because we cut out the layers between manufacturer and customer, our prices reflect the cost of the piece rather than a department-store mark-up.
What we believe
- Wear it every day. A piece that lives in a drawer is a piece that is wasted.
- Honesty about materials. We will always tell you exactly what a piece is made of - no euphemisms.
- Service that responds. If something goes wrong, we want to know. Email gets a person, not a ticket bot.
