Measure with a ring you already own

- Wrap a strip of paper or string around the base of your finger.
- Mark where it overlaps.
- Lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. That is your circumference.
Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are slightly bigger. Between two sizes? Go for the larger one.

Both look bright and clear. Moissanite is a lab-grown gemstone with more fire than a diamond and is harder (9.25 vs 8 to 8.5 Mohs). Cubic zirconia gives the same look at a lower price.
